Stop Abuse In Music Poster Challenge (Core Activation)

*Launching April 2, 2025 – Sexual Assault Awareness Month

The "Stop Abuse In Music" campaign under the Safe Music Business Initiative will launch April 2, 2025 during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. It challenges music companies to take tangible action to end systemic abuse in the music industry. It encourages record labels, music publishers, studios, venues, and rehearsal spaces to actively support the movement by displaying Stop Abuse In Music posters in restrooms and other high-traffic areas used by music creatives.

These posters serve as visible reminders of the industry’s commitment to ending systemic abuse while providing direct access to essential resources for those in need.

Posters will include:

  • Phone numbers for the National Sexual Assault Hotline & the Local District Attorney Sex Crimes Divisions (LA, NYC, ATL, and MIA)

  • QR code leading to our Safe Music Business Resource Hub

Goals of the Poster Challenge:

  • Increase Awareness – Make sure every music space acknowledges and takes responsibility for ending abuse in the music industry.

  • Provide Immediate Help – Survivors can quickly access hotlines, legal support, and safety resources.

  • Foster Accountability – Challenge the industry to display their commitment publicly.

How to Participate:

  • Place posters in key locations – Bathrooms, studios, rehearsal rooms, green rooms, and venues.

  • Share on social media – Post our Stop Abuse In Music asset with hashtags #StopAbuseInMusic & #SafeMusicBusiness to spread awareness.

  • Encourage industry peers – Call on other labels, venues, and studios to take part.
