In recognition of Black Music Month, this panel creates space to celebrate those contributions while also having real conversations about what it takes to sustain creative careers today. From navigating industry shifts to adapting to new technologies like AI.
This conversation honors the journey, breakthroughs, and continued leadership of Black artists, songwriters, and producers who are not only defining the moment but also shaping the future of music.

Khris Riddick-Tynes

Few producers have shaped modern R&B quite like Khris Riddick-Tynes. The Los Angeles native co-wrote and co-produced SZA's Grammy-winning "Snooze" and served as executive producer of Kehlani's critically acclaimed self-titled 2026 album, where he also co-wrote and co-produced "Folded," the Grammy-winning record that became her biggest chart moment to date. With a law degree, a former executive role at Arista Records, and a catalog spanning Ariana Grande, Drake, and beyond, Riddick-Tynes has built one of the most versatile careers at the intersection of music and industry. Whatever comes next, one thing is certain: he isn't just in the room where it happens; he's designing it.
Antonio Dixon

Antonio Dixon is one of R&B's most consistent forces. The Denver-born, Los Angeles-based songwriter and producer has spent two decades crafting songs that span generations, from early 2000s hits for Omarion, Monica, and Mario to co-producing Beyoncé's "Best Thing I Never Had" and contributing to Ariana Grande's breakout album Yours Truly. Most recently, he brought that same touch to Kehlani's critically acclaimed self-titled album, contributing the single "Out the Window" and additional cuts on the project. With over 50 million albums sold and credits spanning R&B, pop, and gospel, the credits keep growing, and so does the legacy.

Kamal Wilson is the kind of writer whose moment arrives and leaves no doubt. The Orange County native co-wrote Kehlani's "Folded," the Grammy-winning track that dominated radio and sparked a viral wave on social media. The breakthrough led to a deal with Avex Music Group, where he continues to develop as both a songwriter and recording artist. Wilson is one of the most exciting new voices in R&B, and by all accounts, he's just getting started.
